Joseph P. Connolly
I founded Connolly Resources to serve a niche in the recruiting industry
that I believe is overlooked by the large national firms. Born in Washington
D.C, I moved to South Florida in 1987 upon graduating from Harvard University.
At Harvard, I graduated with honors receiving a degree in Economics. I was
named a John Winthrop scholar in my junior and senior years. As a wide receiver
for the Harvard Crimson, I was an Honorable Mention to the 1986 All Ivy
Football Team.
Besides
the obvious attractions to South Florida, I moved to Miami from Boston
in 1987 to enter Southeast
Bank’s Commercial Credit Training
program. I stayed with First Union after its takeover of Southeast until
1993. After Southeast/FUNB, I worked as a commercial lender for United National
Bank and SouthTrust Bank. In 1998, I moved to Merrill Lynch’s Business
Financial Services group. My responsibilities there were to build
a market for commercial loans, corporate cash management, and
corporate succession
planning using the network of Merrill Lynch Financial Advisors.
I
am married with two children. I stay active in local men’s basketball
leagues and enjoy saltwater fishing when possible.
